Salsa Side Effects

Two side effects of salsa dancing are its ability to bring joy into your heart and confidence into your stride. You may find yourself smiling and even laughing from time to time. When you first get to class you may question me on the confidence piece, but as you give it time and develop your skills, your confidence will grow and you may even stand a bit taller and find that smiles appear on your face more frequently.

Once a student of mine invited me to his rehearsal dinner. I didn't know why I was there because I didn't know his soon-to-be wife or any of their friends. Once the party was over and everyone was leaving. He apologized to me and told me that he forgot to tell everyone why I was there. Continuing, he said that because he had taken my class, his confidence had grown. So when he saw his soon-to-be wife he had the confidence to ask her to dance. Without the confidence boost, he was not sure he would have ever asked her to dance and would have missed out on the next amazing chapter of his life.
