I’m Jessie Keller, and I can’t wait to welcome you to the world of salsa dancing.

 

My Classes

My mission is to make every class dynamic, engaging, and—most importantly—fun! Whether you’re stepping onto the dance floor for the very first time or looking to add some new moves to your repertoire, I’m here to make learning salsa easy, joyful, and something you’ll look forward to every week. I truly can’t wait to see you in class and share the excitement of salsa with you!

 

My Story

My own salsa journey began back in 2005, sparked by a few lively conversations during a yoga teacher training workshop. The moment I got home, I found a salsa studio and signed up for my first class. I’ll be honest—I felt like I had a billion left feet, didn’t know what to do with my arms, and was as stiff as a board. I left that first class relieved it was over, convinced I’d never have to feel so awkward again.

But as I was walking to my car, I heard someone calling after me. It was the instructor, asking if I could stay for the next, more advanced class. I tried every excuse to say no, but he really needed an extra dancer—so I stayed. Week after week, I kept showing up, slowly breaking through my nerves and self-doubt, simply because I knew I was needed. Before I knew it, I was hooked! Salsa became my passion, and I found myself dancing nearly every night.

Looking back, I’m grateful for that little push that kept me going and for my amazing teacher, Joseph Snowhawk, who opened the door to a whole new world for me. Salsa has brought so much joy, confidence, and connection into my life—and I’d love to help you discover the same.

 

A Little Note

Most of the photos on this site were taken before I had my little boy, so I’m not quite as skinny as I used to be. But hey, maybe we can take advantage of salsa’s awesome fitness benefits together and dance off a few extra pounds—while having a blast!
